I believe that by caring for ourselves, we will care for each other and in turn Mother Earth. I believe that everyone has come to shine their Light, their unique gift with the world, and we can do this through the art of self-care. Self-care means different things to different people. For me it is by deeply understanding myself that I am able to use a variety of techniques handed down through time to keep me balanced, grounded, yet open and curious and more importantly to love myself unconditionally. It is from this place of love for myself that I can love another unconditionally. My heart sees your heart. My Light sees your Light. Together we Shine.
I was born into a yoga lineage. My mamma was a student and teacher of Swami Satyananda in the 70s and taught in our house in London. We then moved to Samye Ling Tibetan community in Scotland when I was 12 years. Yogic community and spiritual practice has always been familiar and a safe place for me. My journey into myself begins at 17 yrs when I went off the rails, to figuring out how to play the game in my 20s, to re-finding yoga in India in my 30s, to training in a variety of massage and healing techniques whilst studying yoga for 20 years, to becoming a mamma, to awakening to shamanism in California in my 40s. Our journey through life is a circle, the sacred circle. I now find myself living in Ibiza with my husband and two children at 50! I have been training in Sacred Womb Awakening with Kelly Morgan for the past year and have been practicing Kundalini Yoga since 2017 with RaMa Institute for Applied Yogic Sciences. My teachers are Guru Jagat, Guru Jas, Harijiwan, Tej and Shabadpreet.
My trainings in Self-Care began with a Diploma in Therapeutic Massage from London College of Massage, to pre and post natal massage and further studies in Ayurvedic Massage from teachers in both the UK and India to Ayurvedic Yoga Massage. I trained in the introduction to Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy and studied a variety of Aromatherapy techniques in the UK. In California I trained in hands on healing and Shamanic studies from two Native teachers along with Doterra and Young Living signature techniques. In the past 20 years I have studied with a number of teachers from the Iyengar, Satyananda, Yin and Kundalini Yoga lineages. Kundalini Yoga is my daily practice. Most of my experience lies within the Ayurvedic and Yogic traditions of healing and that guides my self-care routines. I am a natural healer and have trained in Reiki 1 and 2 and have learned a variety of energy healing techniques from UK, Indian and Californian teachers. Sacred Womb Awakening has healed me on a very deep level and has taught me daily practices to align to my Womb and be guided by her.
I am passionate about teaching Self-Care and do so at any chance I can get! I feel very strongly that every act of self-care is a teaching to our future generations. And that every act of self-care has a ripple effect, I affect those around me and this then affects those around them and so on. I am dedicated to passing on as much knowledge that I have gained over my life journey to our next generations. I firmly believe that Kundalini Yoga technologies will help us the navigate the future of the Information Age and that Sacred Womb Awakening techniques will keep us linked to our ancestors and the creative energies of the Divine Feminine.
